1. Who we are
HomeVisual AI (the “Service”) is operated from Singapore. The data controller can be reached at hello@homevisual.app.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account data — email address, hashed password, display name, role (agent / owner / etc), country, agency name, your originating IP at sign-up.
- Usage data — uploaded photos (originals, decluttered outputs, watermarked previews), per-photo job logs, regeneration count, feedback you submit, IP addresses on anonymous tries.
- Billing data — credit purchases via HitPay (we never see your card details — HitPay is the processor), credit ledger entries.
- Support data — anything you send us via the Feedback page or email.
3. How we use it
- To deliver the declutter service to you.
- To bill you for paid downloads and credit packs.
- To prevent abuse (rate-limiting, fraud detection, multi-account checks).
- To improve the model — we use your feedback (👍 / 👎 + categories + comments) and the related photos to train internal evaluation sets. We do not on-sell your photos to any third party.
- To send transactional email (account confirmation, password reset, payment receipts). We do not send marketing email without separate consent.
4. Sub-processors
We use the following sub-processors to deliver the service:
- Supabase — authentication and database (Singapore region).
- Wasabi — encrypted object storage for photos (Singapore region).
- Vercel — application hosting and edge serving.
- OpenAI — image declutter and prompt-rewriting models. Per OpenAI’s API terms, photos sent to the API are not used to train OpenAI’s models.
- HitPay — payment processing.
- Resend / SMTP provider — transactional email delivery.
5. Storage & retention
Photos are stored in encrypted Wasabi storage with private access. Anonymous-try photos are auto-deleted after 24 hours unless claimed by an account. Logged-in uploads are kept for as long as your account is active so you can return to your History; closing your account removes them within 30 days. Backups may persist for up to 90 days for disaster recovery.
6. Your rights
You can: access your data (visible in your dashboard), export your photo history, correct your profile, delete your account (which removes your photos), or ask us to stop processing your data. Email hello@homevisual.app to exercise any of these.
7. Cookies
We set a small number of cookies — only what is required for authentication (session) and the anonymous-try feature (so your free try lands in your account if you sign up). We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.
8. International transfers
Your data is processed primarily in Singapore. Some sub-processors (Vercel, OpenAI) may process metadata in the United States or other regions; we rely on standard contractual clauses where applicable.
9. Children
The service is not intended for users under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be flagged here.
